Creating the Look – The Modern Farmhouse Bathroom

It’s no surprise that the farmhouse look is having a moment in home décor. Everywhere you look there seems to be an uprising in rustic wood finishes and industrial accents. Why the farmhouse look seems to be getting so much attention could be for a multitude of reasons. It could be tied to the popularity of home designers like Joanna Gaines or it could simply be because people like the clean yet homey feel of a traditional farmhouse. Whatever the reason, farmhouse style looks like it’s here to stay.

And the style isn’t just limited to the living room or kitchen. The farmhouse look is taking over every room of the house, including the bathroom. So if you are remodeling your bathroom and you think the farmhouse look is for you, how do you get started?

There are a million and one blogs out there that will tell you the exact type of subway tile to use and what color palate would be best. But to us, it seems like the vanity is always the last thought. That doesn’t really sit well with us. After all, we think the vanity is probably one of the most important part of a bathroom.

We have a near endless supply of vanities that you can choose from but we think there are a few styles that would be perfect for a farmhouse look.

The River

The River vanity finished in Driftwood is a classic farmhouse vanity. Throw in some matte black accents like a FENIX countersink or even some metal hardware in our Matte Black or Oil Can finish and you can elevate the traditional look to a more modern farmhouse style

The Corrado

For a modern approach on a farmhouse style vanity, the Corrado is the way to go. This wall mounted vanity looks incredible in a combo finish of white acrylic and Rosewood.  Or if the combo finish isn’t really your thing, any of our textured wood finishes would look flawless in a farmhouse style bathroom.

The Avant

The Avant takes the modern farmhouse look one step further with its sleek design and minimalist lines. But with the right combination of finishes, it will fit seamlessly into your farmhouse bath. We recommend Gray Reclaimed Oak with a Matte Black metal finish for a cool industrial vibe. Or if you want a warmer farmhouse look, try Natural Reclaimed Oak and a darker metal finish.

The Hayden

We can’t forget about the Hayden. This transitional design is perfect for a wide rages of styles and farmhouse is one of them. Finish this beauty off in Harbor Grey and Burnished Brass Ring Pulls for a look that is farmhouse bliss.

The Angolo

The Angolo makes for a great modern farmhouse bath vanity. Finish it in Cerused Oak or our Textured Barley, add some matte black touches, and you’ll get a picture perfect farmhouse bath.

The Winston

For a truly modern and showstopping farmhouse vanity, look no further than our Winston. With solid brass tubing available in eight metal finishes, the Winston is sure to catch anyone eye. We suggest going with a bright Burnished Brass and White Acrylic panels for a bold and beautiful look.

The Brianna

Our Brianna vanity would look great in a farmhouse bath. The 2″ thick end panels and wide open shelf for storage makes this vanity a staple for the down to earth, cozy vibe – especially when your finish it in one of our Textured Finishes like Ashlin and Matte Black hardware.

The Avalon

The last vanity that we have for our modern farmhouse look is our Avalon. This vanity is perhaps one of our most versatile vanities making it ideal for just about any design style depending on the finish and hardware you choose. We recommend one of our Reclaimed Oaks or lighter oak finishes like Manhattan, Cerused, or Milk oak to really complete the look.

Of course, at the end of the day it comes down to how you define farmhouse style. But rest assured that we have plenty of vanities that can be customized to fit your needs. Check out our website to see all of our designs and start planning your farmhouse dream bath today!
